Welcome to Code Fixers!

We are just moving in to this space and the boxes haven’t been unpacked yet and the space is a little bare, but don’t expect it to stay that way!  In fact, don’t expect this site to look the same from day to day as we change small or large items to illustrate specific ideas and solutions to problems.

Start looking  for articles, tutorials and demonstrations that solve specific problems with code snips for your use.  In addition to gathering and posting all our answers from various support forums, we will be posting new ideas and solutions we have either found or solved for ourselves.

No one is born knowing all this stuff and we all know different things and have different ways of accomplishing a goal.  Code Fixers can help with the basics or assist in moving you past that “stuck” point.  No jargon. We teach, we review, we suggest, we guide with simple, clear language.

Always feel free to ask us questions and make comments.

Welcome!

I noticed on the NextGEN WordPress Support Forum as well as on the NextGEN site itself, that many of the questions were simple “How do I…?” questions.  An ongoing question is how to get the NextGEN search plugin to function properly. I have to admit to some confusion and frustration myself when I first attempted to use the plugin, but once I got it working, it seemed so very simple.

Suffusion is a powerful and comprehensive theme for WordPress that provides publishers infinite design possibilities.  It is, hands down, my favorite theme and I use it extensively for the sheer richness and flexibility and easy customization.

Because it has such depth and so many features, it merits its own category here.  I spend some time on the very active support forum for Suffusion and for members of the Suffusion Forum, I will be consolidating all the personal tips, code and examples I’ve contributed or learned on this site.  They will obviously stay on the Suffusion forum as well.

There will certainly be articles about themes in general and the mechanics of setting them up and making them your own as well, but do check out the specific Suffusion articles to see those items that cross over.
